Dr Annaline Keet is currently employed as a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Social Work, Nelson Mandela University. Previously she has served as the Head of Department of Social Work at the University of the Free State from 2014-2016. She has joined the academia from 2010 as Lecturer at the University of Fort Hare in the Department of Social Work and Social Development. She started her career as a Social Worker in 1988 at Department of Social Development in Wynberg, Cape Town. She has worked in various organisations including the following; Network development/ Employee Wellbeing, Johannesburg Child Welfare Society and De Novo Treatment Centre for Alcohol and Drug Patients in Cape Town. She previously served on ASASWEI (Association of South African Social Work Education Institutions) Exco from 2016 to 2017 in the capacity of secretary. Currently, she is serving on the Exco of ASASWEI from 2019 (current) in the capacity of international representative. She is also the South African representative on International Association of Schools of Social Work (IASSW).
